Ingredients
  • 1 lb filet mignon
  • 2 tbps soy sauce
  • 1 tsp fish sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1 shallot
  • black pepper
  • grapeseed oil

Steps
  1. Cut filet mignon into 1/2" cubes
  2. Mince garlic and shallot
  3. Combine soy sauce, fish sauce, sugar, garlic, and shallot with the beef
  4. Marinate for one hour
  5. Stir fry on a wok with grapeseed oil.

Bo Luc Lac (Vietnamese Shaken Beef) is a stir fry done with filet mignon meat. If you buy filet mignon, most of the time you would think of making a steak or a roast with it. This dish has quite a bit of French influence, namely with the introduction of meat through their cuisine.
