Durian is an interesting fruit where it is prickly on the outside, but edible inside.  It is most commonly known throughout Southeast Asia. 

It is a bit odd because it is probably one of the most polarizing fruits you will ever come across.  You will think:

• This is delicious.  Or.
• This smells like feet
